Making An Impact Outside The Classroom
It’s critical that HCA students learn that serving others is a way to serve God. Our students have participated and served in external service projects and programs such as:
- Outreach with the Boys & Girls Club of the Salvation Army
- Providing clothing, food, toys & other items as Christmas gifts to area families in need
- Serving in the soup kitchen
- Shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse in their NC distribution center
- Spending time with residents in local nursing and retirement homes
- Collecting used eye glasses for people in need
- Jump Rope for the Heart and Hoops for the Heart with the American Heart Association
- Angel Tree projects
- Hurricane relief collections and distributions
